Body
Workings Massage Therapy (BWMT) is a professional bodywork firm
offering a wide variety of services including Massage Therapy and
CPR & First Aid instruction. In addition to an active practice
with individuals, the BWMT client list includes several large and
mid-sized corporations who provide onsite chair massage as part
of their efforts to reduce employee stress, improve motivation and
increase productivity. BWMT’s national team of corporate therapists
are all credentialed massage practitioners, nationally certified
in therapeutic massage and bodywork. Each therapist is well versed
in both chair massage and corporate culture and understands the
value of time as well as the value of massage. Skilled in communication,
each massage therapist can quickly identify the specific needs of
the client and tailor the massage treatment accordingly. The result
is a relaxing experience that helps the client release tensions
and return to work with renewed energy – all within the professional
setting of the client’s work area.
BWMT is the brainchild of Matthew Gavzy who founded the company
in 1994. Matthew is a professional body worker and businessman with
over fifteen years of experience as a massage therapist, physical
therapist assistant and competitive athlete. Matthew’s corporate
background, passion for competitive sports and deep care for people
result in a massage practice that is client centered, goal oriented
and dedicated to the well being of clients. His extensive education
and knowledge of the body allows him to provide customized therapeutic
programs for specific and varied client needs. Matthew’s unique
experience with corporate, sports and orthopedic massage has shaped
his philosophy of total customer satisfaction. Matthew has personally
chosen each of the massage therapists around the country for their
commitment to these same values.
Matthew’s passion for the World of Sports led him to become
one of five massage therapists from NJ and one of 124 picked nationally
to participate in the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta as
a massage therapist. Matthew has worked many national sporting events
including the 1996 Olympic and Paralympic Games, World Team Tennis,
ATP tour events, AVP Pro Beach Volleyball and the NY and Boston
Marathons. Some of the athletes he has had the pleasure to work
with are Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Martina Navratilova, Leander
Paes, Jonas Bjorkman, and Elaine Alfano (World Aerobic Champion),
as well as the professional volleyball players of the AVP and elite
runners in the NY and Boston Marathons. Matthew works with a number
of professional dancers and choreographers and local elite athletes
as well.
